The school's colors are scarlet and gold, and its teams are called "Braves". Kamiakin High is classified as a 4A school, and it competes in the hybrid 3A/4A Columbia Basin League.
Kamiakin's biggest rivals in most sports are Southridge High School (located in southwest Kennewick) and Kennewick High School (in the east). In football, the annual game with the much larger 4A Pasco High School ranks as one of the fiercest high school rivalries in the state. Kamiakin's football and soccer teams play their home games at Neil F. Lampson Stadium. The school's cheer team and dance team frequently competes at national competitions.
